Find out what Windows Version you have in Windows 10

If you need help and support for your PC you’ll often need to know what version of Windows you’re using, be it Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro in S mode, or another edition.  Fortunately it’s really quick and simple to find out this information. In the Settings panel, open System and then scroll down the left side list until you see the About option.  Click or tap this and in the panel on the right, scroll downwards slightly and you will see a Windows specifications section.

Here you will find the information you need about which edition of Windows you’re using, in the case of the screenshot here it’s Windows 10 Pro.  It will also tell you which Feature Pack you have installed, this is the version information, in this case you can see it’s 1803 (the version that was released in March 2018).

For in-depth Windows 10 Troubleshooting advice, Mike Halsey’s book “Windows 10 Troubleshooting, Second Edition” is on sale now from Apress, Amazon, and all good booksellers.
