If you watch video online on your PC, perhaps YouTube or Netflix, did you know that you can send the video signal live to your TV and have it play there instead? Many modern TVs support screen casting, which allows wireless streaming of video from one device to another.
To cast a video from the Internet, open and play the video in Microsoft’s Edge browser and tap the menu icon (three horizontal dots) in the top right corner of the window. From the menu that appears click the Cast media to device option.
A panel will then slide on on the right side of your screen in which available and compatible screencasting devices will be listed. Make sure the TV is switched on and connected to your network by ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. When you select the device the video playback will be automatically transferred to the TV. This can be a very useful way to watch and share Internet video content with friends and family, and works incredibly simply.
