If more than one person uses a PC, laptop, or tablet in your home you could find yourself in a situation where either they need to install software, or perhaps a third-party update, and find they cannot do so because they don’t have permission, or that they change something critical in the operating system that you didn’t want them too. This happens because either someone is configured on the PC as an Administrator, in which case they have permission to do whatever they like, or as a Standard user which doesn’t give them permission to change anything that affects anybody’s account by their own. You can change any user on the PC between Administrator and Standard user by visiting Settings > Accounts > Family & other people where you will see each account on the PC listed. Click on a user and then a Change account type button will appear. Note: There must be at least one Administrator on each PC, but every other user can be a Standard user if you wish. This can be especially useful if children use your PC.
