If you’re the sort of person that likes to keep themselves organised by plastering the fridge or PC monitor with sticky notes, you’ll be pleased to hear that you can plaster your Windows 11 desktop with them too. Sticky Notes can be found in the Start Menu as it’s pre-installed with Windows 11.
With Sticky Notes open, the main view displays a scrollable list of all the notes you have created. You can click the + [Plus] icon in the top left corner of the notes panel to create a new note. When you are typing in the note various options are available to you.
At the top of a note is a + [Plus] icon to create another note, and a three dots menu icon you can click to change the colour of the note, or to delete the note. You can close a note by clicking the X [Close] icon in the top right corner of the note and it will still be available later in the Notes List.
At the bottom of the note are formatting controls including bold text, italic text, underline, strikethrough (crossing out), list, or inserting a picture. If at any time you lose the main notes list, click the three dots in an open note and you can open the Notes list from there.
If you use a Microsoft Account or an Azure AD account, you can click the cog [gear] icon in the Notes List and synchronise your sticky notes across all your Windows PCs. All in all, Sticky Notes is a great way to keep organised with notes and lists on your PC.
